Aurea Palma

Managing Director

Aurea Palma founded Phoenix Specialty Risks in 2010.

Her working career originally began overseas where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant before practising as a lawyer. Since coming to Australia more than 10 years ago, Aurea has pursued her career within the shipping and marine insurance industries.

In 2000, Aurea gained a Master of Commerce in Accounting and Finance at Macquarie University. In 2008, she qualified as a Master of Law specialising in International Trade, Litigation and Dispute Resolution at the University of Queensland. This qualification, combined with her managerial role at a major shipping line, provided Aurea with a detailed knowledge of the legal aspects relating to international trade and shipping.

Aurea is shortly due to finalize her seafaring Master 5 and MED 3 qualifications and has completed STCW95.
